This is a piece in which snap shots and scenes from television and the |
| |
interenet were printed on adhersive labels sold in stores. |
| |
In the group exhibition labels were pasted on a wall, placed on the floor as |
| |
something portable, or frames as objects for appreciation. |
| |
Scenes that we actually see on a daily basis are photographed for various |
| |
reasons and are everywhere around us. |
| |
They are also elements that compose our normal daily scenery. |
| |
It is a natural thing. However, I believe that indeed is a factor that leads to |
| |
the loss of reality of an actual scene just like the scenes that are pasted on |
| |
the wall. Becase they are very high frequency in Tokyo where I live. |
| |
I sometimes give this work to people I meet. |
| |
When we look at the work knowing that it is a scenery and a sticker, or when |
| |
it is pasted somewhere, it is then that it becames a piece of artwork. |
